Your tattered dress spoke of a river
Where larks wove songs
Into a willowed tapestry
As the sun dissolved
Primrose pink
Fingernail scrapes
the bark of a tree
In perfect unison
With the rattling of
My heart
I follow your footprints
Until they disappear
