My heart-bone breaks
Under the ivory-boned
Moon’s faltering iridescence.
The sea cackles her dark
Descent on the night and
Drags her dregs behind her
Like a forsaken soul.
A grey mist hovers above
The sandy shoreline like a
Fallen ghost lingering, lingering,
Lingering.
