I sit in a corner
in a circle
with my dust of construction
the leavings of an urban life
sad and eaten by rats
nobody knows me
nobody knows me
plain Jane
only on the outside
so I bloom
I bloom
I bloom bright enough
to make people look
to make women jealous
and I hope
(just hope)
that eventually
a man will come
and I won’t be so lonely and hated
anymore.
