I see the grey sky
The overcast mind
Of a tired old man
And the skeletal trees
His withered bones
Trembling in the wind
And the frozen earth
The bed where he lies
With his arctic dreams
And the blanket of snow
The shroud he will wear
Till the next world dawns
For he will be woken
When the songbirds return
From their winter retreat
To dance like a child
As the flowers open
Their faces to the sun
