I am next to you in skin
and blood, the ladder to
heaven within us, and I
tremble and grasp at the
edges of myself while you
tie a halo round my finger,
a love knot of string. I let
go into you; your words,
the pure essence of light,
a voice that I listen to.
My heart opens itself out
into the wind where sun
rays organize the air,
the true breath of our
spirits existing not in
our thoughts, but in the
motion.
