Is a man standing
On the edge of a cliff
At the mercy of the wind
Is a cat in a cage
Being taken to a place
With the stench of death
Is a tree hearing
The growl of a chainsaw
As it bites into its bark
Is a patient waiting
For his surgeon to call
To schedule the operation
Is a child running
From an angry dog
That keeps getting closer
Is a flower wondering
If it will wither in the sun
Or be drowned by the rain
