He caught the scent
Of a flowery perfume
That vanished as soon
As he smelled it
And the quiet whisper
Of a subtle voice
That echoed and then
Disappeared
And the soft caress
Of a delicate hand
That stroked his skin
And then faded
And when he turned
There was no one there
Just a shadow that seemed
Darker than most
