Just passing through the rainbow of light
where denial is stored away
between pretty colors that soothe the beast
we didn't see it coming
trees that bleed on leaves
crying from starvation
a wasted life of half eaten bread
an absence of birds
in an orange peeled sky
the anatomy of murder
just passing through the rainbow of light
guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
