Liquid screaming dawn
blinding, painfully sweet
rends the cloudy sky outside
as life is torn into dreams
and happy at last
becomes an eternal meme

but still I hide
as if I love this box
as if I love this gray
as if this pit of pain
is more pleasurable
to dig into
than all the honeyed joys
waiting
just outside.
